Barry’s Grand Adventure

Barry fell down Thursday.  He was carrying some sheet metal & tripped.  The metal he was carrying didn’t hurt him, but a wooden pallet on the floor did!  He hit the pallet with his left hand & it ripped it open.  It was a huge gaping wound!!!! uuggghh!

I won’t go into all of the details, but I am so thankful that it didn’t damage any of the tendons.  He has not lost use of or sensation in the fingers.  It was his LEFT hand!  Thanks, Lord.  If it had been his right hand it would have been so much worse.  He is at work today.  It has slowed down what he can do, but he’s working & overseeing what the shop guys are doing.  Being self-employed, you do not have the luxury of being sick or injured.

I am so thankful!  It could have been so much worse!  We could be facing surgery, or disability…..(yes, it is an ugly wound.)  The Lord is faithful….even if things had been worse.  I would still say that the Lord is faithful!!!!
