CD’s Everywhere!

Well, we’ve got CD’s in our hands!!!!!!  Praise the Lord!    We received them Thursday & had a time of prayer & dedication at church Sunday morning.  The pastor anointed us with oil, prayed for us & we dedicated the CD’s back to the Lord.  It was sweet!  Of course, I grew emotional.  This was the culmination of a dream that the Lord gave to me on December the 4th, 1994!

God is faithful!  God is faithful!  God is faithful–even when we aren’t.

There were times since 1994 that I thought that I had missed the Lord.  That I had not really heard from Him, & that all I was doing was wishful thinking.  (Does anyone recognize the voice of the tempter??????)  Praise God that He takes His word seriously!

I will post pictures of the album cover soon.  I forgot my camera at my mom’s.

CD’s in the Panhandle

My CD’s arrived in Amarillo yesterday at 2:28 PM.

They left Amarillo at 5:00AM this morning on their way to Dalhart!!!!!

They should arrive sometime around noon.  (That’s when the UPS man usually comes to our shop.)

This almost feels like tracking Santa, doesn’t it?

Mesquite

I made an assumption….& of course, it was wrong.  My CD’s are in Texas, but they did not go to Amarillo from Dallas, but to Mesquite.  I had to look it up (hey, I’m not a native Texan, I just got here as soon as I could) & it is a suburb of Dallas.  A part of the metro-plex.

Soooooo, we are still on schedule & I’m still excited!!!

My CD’s arrived in the great state of Texas at 3:21 Central Standard Time today!!!!!!!!

They departed at 5:09 PM!  They will probably be in Amarillo by 6:00 or 6:30 this evening.

 Thank You Lord!

Today I’m Thankful

There is sooooo much I have to be thankful for.  Last night the Lord prompted me to read Psalm 50.  Wow!  I am so convicted.  He said in verse 14 “Make thankfulness your sacrifice to God, & keep the vows you made to the Most High”.  So often I try to give the Lord something else as a sacrifice.  I want my service to Him to be my offering, & I expect my ministry to be the praise that He deserves.  Those things are great, but they do not take the place of a child who is truly thankful for what comes from the hand of her Father.  I have nothing that did not come from my Father’s hand.

He goes on to say in verse 23 “But giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors me.”    My thankfulness should be the best & most often used form of worship in my life.

So……….today I am thankful for:

  • Barry–this weekend he showed me what a wonderful, giving man he really is!  He made a huge sacrifice so that he could hear me sing & then drove home in the middle of the night alone.
  • Scripture—wow!  I love the voice of God in print!
  • My dad’s health is failing–but He’s looking forward to being with the Lord.
  • My CD’s shipped today!  They should arrive on Thursday!
  • I’ve been able to travel 3 of the last 4 weekends to sing.
  • My mom’s pneumonia is FINALLY beginning to get better.
  • God is my provider.
  • I feel good.
  • I have a laptop that allows me to check email away from home.
  • I am staying with my folks while they recuperate…..
  • God brought my brother & sister-in-law into the business with us, so I can be here with my folks for as long as they need me–and the business will not suffer!

I could go on & on, but I’m just content to say “Thank You, Lord!
