I Love Texas!

I wasn’t born in Texas, but I got here as soon as I could.  In all actuality, I’ve lived here for 15 years.  AND I LOVE IT!  I can’t really explain why I have this Texas shaped hole in my heart, but I do.  I love the people.  I love the weather.  I love the wildlife & bluebonnets.

I live in WEST Texas, & it is very different from the majority of Texas..it’s not green, & it is very dry & flat. It has a beauty about it that I love, & I hope to live here for the rest of my life.

We took a road trip a couple of weeks ago & I thought that I would share some of the sights that we saw.

  Yes, those are camels!!!

I’ve never seen the Bluebonnets in bloom before………

I don’t have pictures of the llama & buffalo that we saw.

God–My Rock!

I copied this wonderful little article from “The Torch of Faith” Newsletter.  Don’t ask me how, but I got on the mailing list for this newsletter—It’s for senior citizens. hehe

Enjoy…

When you are the neediest–He is the most sufficient.                     (IICor. 12:9)

When you feel completely helpless–He is the most helpful.           (Ps. 118:6)

When you feel the need to be dependent on someone–He is absolutely dependable.                              (Ps. 118:14)

When you are the weakest–His strength is made perfect.            (IICor 12:9)

When you feel the most alone–He will be intimately present.      (Heb. 13:5)

When you feel you are the least– He will be the greatest.            (Matt. 11:11)

When it is your darkest hour–You may be assured, God is light and in Him there is no darkness.                                  (IJohn 1:5)

When you are insecure–Be reminded, God is your rock!              (Ps. 31:3)

Another Milestone

Our hearts hang low, like the flags at half-mast today.  We mourn as a nation.  We mourn as individuals.  We mourn for the loss of life, for the lives changed forever, & for hope lost.

There are no words to convey what we feel.  No trite platitudes that will end the suffering.   Nothing that will take away the pain & return loved ones.

Lord, as a nation, we flee to You….

As an individual, I run to You….

hide me under the shadow of Your wings.

                            Come quickly, Lord Jesus!
